At E & K Kennels we believe everyone should be able to afford a new puppy that is healthy and well socialized. We have heard so many stories about people not getting a puppy because they do not have enough money for vet bills, spaying, and neutering. Most people do not like males marking everywhere and when a male is neutered before 6 months they should never mark. Then the problem with females not being spayed is unexpected breeding that can hurt your female especially if the male is too large, they also bleed when they come into season. It has also been proven that spaying and neutering a pet not only protects your pet against certain cancers and infections but also helps to control the animal population. So we have decided to get all of our puppies spayed and neutered if they are big enough (size wise) at the appropriate age to help you, and the animal shelters with all the abandoned puppies they receive everyday, and to reduce vet bills for you too because it is at no extra cost. We are going to have them spayed or neutered after 10 weeks old ,depending on the size of the puppy, at Catawba Valley Animal Hospital by Dr. Carlton 828-327-7100. If you would rather your puppy not be spayed or neutered just let us know before 10 weeks and we will gladly hold him/her with a deposit.
